I’m Dharm (pronounced “Duddum”) Khalsa, and I love to draw. Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, I discovered my passion for art and the fantastical at a very young age. Drawn to the idea of creating worlds that existed beyond the everyday, I went on to get a degree in Graphic Design while living in Boulder, Colorado. I began my career in California’s Bay Area, working with top design firms and crafting marketing materials and animations for clients like Apple, StubHub, and Yahoo. Seeking a more personal and creative outlet, I shifted my focus to art fundamentals, eventually becoming an illustration artist and gaining inspiration from my deep appreciation of ancient cultures, mythology, travel, and transforming personal experiences into rich, narrative-driven illustrations. 

My work isn't just about visual appeal — it's about storytelling. Each piece serves as a gateway into detailed worlds that engage and inspire the viewer. With over 20 years of experience as a working artist, I pride myself on turning my client’s vision into impactful illustrations — specifically prioratizing the power of human creativity in the age of AI. My portfolio and publications include fantasy illustrations for role-playing games, animations and motion graphics, graphic design for small businesses, as well as custom tattoo designs. 

With technical skills that demonstrate versatility and innovation, I am proud to foster collaborations with each client, bringing the best ideas to life in a vivid and impactful way. As a lifelong artist, I believe in the power of art to transport and transform. I seek to create works of art that are unique, memorable, and connect all of us on a deeper level. I currently live in Denver, Colorado with my wife, daughter, dog, and one-eyed cat.
